Welcome center staff
The Welcome Center Staff is responsible for building relationships with members, facilitating member connections with one another and the YMCA. The front line staff must deliver excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants and respond to member and guest needs while performing various clerical duties.
Hours required: Tuesday 4:00pm-9:00pm, Friday 4:00pm-7:00pm and every other Saturday 1:00pm-5:00pm (with the potential to pick up additional hours)
Must be 17 years old or older with reliable transportation. Must have excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi-task and work in high pressure situations.
Youth Dance Instructor
Instructor for the YMCA’s Youth Dance Program to lead dance instruction for ages 3-18. Previous dance experience is required. Available for a minimum of two shifts per week Monday-Friday 3:00pm-7:30pm.
Evening Housekeeping
Instructor for the YMCA’s Youth Dance Program to lead dance instruction for ages 3-18. Previous dance experience is required. Available for a minimum of two shifts per week Monday-Friday 3:00pm-7:30pm.
Soccer Officials
Soccer officials are responsible for rule enforcement, time keeping, and maintaining safety of players, coaches and spectators during soccer games. Soccer officials must be 13 years of age or older, have understanding of soccer rules and attend a soccer official clinic prior to the start of season. All games are played on Saturdays at the YMCA.
LIFEGUARD
Lifeguards at the Hopkins County Family YMCA create a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
- Prefer lifeguards 18 years of age and older; minimum age of 16
- Certifications: YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent (must include CPR/AED, First Aid)
- Child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date
- Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
- Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
