Under the direction of the Director of Youth Services, the Preschool Teacher will see that age-appropriate activities are planned and implemented in all aspects of the program. Duties include working with staff to plan and implement activities and execute the daily schedule and lesson plans. Be responsible for the direct supervision of the appropriate children and their activities, and working with other staff to provide a program and atmosphere that fosters children’s’ social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth. Under the direction supervision of the Director of Youth Services, and will be responsible for implementing activities and executing the daily schedule, providing an appropriately safe, caring and enriching environment for the children enrolled in the YMCA Kid After School Program or one of our two off-site locations. Leaders are responsible for conducting themselves in an appropriate manner, setting an example for children, parents and co-workers by reflecting the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Leaders are responsible for complying with all YMCA Child Care Policies and Procedures. Under the supervision of the Kids Center Director, and consistent with the Christian Mission of the YMCA, Housekeeping staff is responsible for assisting members and other staff to consistently maintain a clean, sanitary, and attractive facility, including such duties as mopping, dusting, laundry, and trash removal. May complete duties related to window washing, meeting set up, grounds keeping, and other duties as assigned. Hours Monday-Friday 5pm-9pm with additional hours possible. Must be 18 years or older, have reliable transportation and obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
Lifeguards at the Hopkins County Family YMCA create a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
