Together We Can Do So Much More.

The 2015 Annual Giving Campaign is under way and we need your help!

At the YMCA our most important goal has always been to enrich the lives of the children in our community through teaching healthy living, youth development and social responsibility.  We introduce them to lifelong skills to become a successful adult. We make the community we love a better place to live; one child at a time, one adult at a time and one family at a time.

For over thirty years your YMCA has been providing programs and services to ensure access to all Hopkins Countians regardless of ability to pay. We could not do this without members and contributors to our Annual Campaign. Your support through a financial contribution helps us continue programs to all and financial assistance to those who have fallen on hard times.  Through your generosity we are able to lift yours and our brothers up who have fallen on difficult times, particularly children and single parent families.

We hear stories everyday like this one:

“A young boy started coming to the Y at age 4. He always played and watched basketball in the gym. At the time, his biggest adversary was his home life. He is now a well-behaved teenager and continues to play basketball at the Y. He contributes his success both in school and on the court to the time he spent at the YMCA.”

Or this one:

“I just want to thank you for all that you do at the day care. My girls love it there. I am thankful for the enriched environment and learning programs that are offered. The extra time that your staff takes to offer swim lessons and prepare healthy snacks and family-style meals is appreciated. I’m also thankful for the Summer Food Program that keeps me from worrying about meals when school is out. I also want to thank all of those who make our attendance possible through their gifts.  You are truly a blessing!”

Or this:

“A lady started coming to Active Older Adult class last spring. After a couple months she also added yoga 3 times a week. She slowly added the 8:15 am group cycling class. She has now lost 20 pounds and says she feels better than ever.”

Or another:

“This past summer we served over 40,000 meals to 2,500+ children in Hopkins County.  This allowed parents to be confident that their child was eating at least one quality nutritious meal a day.”

We want to thank you on behalf of the members who have benefitted and the ones who will in the future. We appreciate every gift and see to it that it is used wisely because we know how hard it is to come by.  Thanks again for your gift and May God Bless!
