Madisonville 9/11 Heroes Run to offer Memorial Blocks
In preparation for this September’s second annual 9/11 Heroes Run, a unique opportunity is available for the community to honor and remember their loved ones who are past or present First Responders, Service Members and Veterans.
Twenty-four Memorial Blocks are being created for the Finish Line of this year’s 5k race. Memorial Blocks can be purchased In Honor of or In Memory of any First Responder, Service Member or Veteran pre and post-9/11.
“The 9/11 Heroes Run is an opportunity for all Hopkins County residents to show their appreciation for the victims of the 9/11 attacks, the first responders who are willing to risk their lives for others on a daily basis, and the U.S. service members who volunteer to serve their country during a time of war,” says Kelly Forbes, Local Race Director. “We’re excited to offer Memorial Blocks to those who want to honor their loved ones who serve or have served. It’s another avenue for our community to support our first responders and veterans.
