Looking for Legislation to Expand Summer Feeding
Sometimes, to get your message across you have to make a trip to Washington, DC. The Y's very own, Tori Wallace, represented Madisonville, Kentucky at the National Anti-Hunger Policy Conference February 29 through March 1.
This year, with the Child Nutrition Reauthorization legislation in the House and Senate, awareness of the USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program on Capitol Hill is more critical than ever! The Hopkins County Family YMCA works tirelessly to combat hunger in our neighborhoods and bring healthy foods to thousands of children through year round after school meals and the summer feeding program.
