Meet Michelle Hale!

Hello my name is Michelle Hale and I want to encourage the person reading this to start the new year with a new you.  After graduating high school I began to put on the pounds; I’m sure we have all been in that place to some extent in our lives.  It seemed that nothing I tried stopped the weight gain.  Between 2014 and 2015 I was at my heaviest and by January of 2016 I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.  A place no one wants to be at.  It was then that I knew I had to be serious with my health.  I began to change my eating habits; and had began to lose some weight but it was not enough.  It was then that my friend says to me, “lets partner up as health and fitness accountability partners.”  We met at the Y every morning and started out just walking a couple of miles.  Before long we were going to some of the fitness classes offered as well. When one of us didn’t feel up to a work-out there was a word of encouragement that kept us going.   It is now the end of the year and I have lost 96lbs, lowered my A1C enough to be what I consider diabetes free and I have never felt better.  I challenge the reader to find a friend and get serious about your health you have one life and there is no reset button.  If I can do this I know you can too!
